Countdown to reopening of The Settlement
The Settlement in Caistor Market Place is to reopen this week under new management.
A new Facebook page for The Settlement & Parkers Restaurant has announced that its doors will open for a ‘soft’ opening at 5pm on Thursday night (November 3, 2016). The first full day’s trading will be from 11am on Friday.
The new management also run three other venues around the Grimsby area, including the Royal Oak at Holton Le Clay.
Good food, fine wines and value for money are said to be the family-run firm’s priorities. Prices for traditional Sunday lunches are expected to start from £7.95, with vegetarian and gluten-free options also likely to be available.
Sky Sports and BT Sports Active are also likely to be screened – away from the dining areas.
A new bar set-up is expected to offer at least eight different brands of gin.

News that The Settlement is due to reopen has been greeted with excitement by many of the town’s residents, who say the venue has been greatly missed. The nearby parking facilities in the Market Square have always been a major plus for the venue’s customers, and its large back garden was always a popular feature in the summer.
An opening for an experienced shift supervisor for the Caistor venue was still being advertised earlier this week.
