Town gears up for bike night

Hundreds of motorbikes are expected to be in Caistor Market Square tonight as The Settlement hosts an event for the Lincolnshire Bike Nights.

An outside bar and barbecue is expected, along with live music from Shindig. Pie and peas will also be served. The action starts from 6pm.

The Settlement applied for relevant permissions to have the Market Square closed off to traffic for the event.

Ninefold, Caistor’s custom tattoo salon at The Cornhill, is also expected to stay open especially for visitors.

The Lincolnshire Bike Nights provides social gatherings for bikers and motorcyclists throughout Lincolnshire. One of the aims of the non-profit making organisation is to promote safer riding.

Promoting safer riding is excellent, and is needed, but how about making the Market Place safe to drive through? The Settlement needs to be concentrating on the people who live and work there, instead its forcing folk from their parking spaces, just so they can make money. Plus what idiot gave them permission for it? There are plenty of open spaces to do it.
