Examiner approves Neighbourhood Plan
Caistor’s Neighbourhood Plan has been approved by an independent examiner, councillors heard last night (August 13, 2015).
The council was overjoyed on hearing the news, as the process was more difficult than originally expected. This was due to changes in the national planning policy for England, said Cllr Alan Caine.
“Congratulations. You have been the leader on that as well,” Cllr Caine said to Town Clerk Helen Pitman. His remark followed other dramatic news earlier in the evening.
Ms Pitman said the content of the Neighbourhood Plan would be cut down – possibly by as much as 50% – before being put to a referendum. Amendments are being prepared with the help of officials from West Lindsey District Council, she added.
