Caistor In Bloom is reeling in shock after their utility vehicle was stolen last night.

The 4×4 diesel powered Kubota was bought only last year with the help of a £10,000 grant from Awards For All, and other sponsorship from Caistor Town Council, Caistor and District Lions, Wolds Retreat and Supplybase Solutions Ltd.

The vehicle was taken at about 8.45pm from The Buttermarket in Caistor last night (Tuesday, May 19, 2015).

The theft will be devastating to the In Bloom team, who are now entering their busiest time of the year.

Michael Galligan, from Caistor In Bloom, said today it felt as if someone had physically assaulted him. “Without that truck, we are stuffed,” he said.

A few photographs from our files show much the Kubota has been used out and about Caistor over the past year.

  1. Good article Shona. If anyone sees the ‘Share’ request on Facebook then please share it. The more who share it the more will see it and possibly see the vehicle somewhere in the UK.
