Flypast pleases visitors to Open Gardens

JUNIOR REPORT

Words by Jessie M J Wall

Today, (Saturday, June 24, 2017) the gardens were open. In aid of British Red Cross, Caistor In Bloom had their yearly open gardens and scarecrow trail. From beautifully kept gardens to sweet treats to Red Arrows, today had it all. But don’t worry if you missed it, you can go round the gardens again tomorrow!

Gardens are open between noon and 5pm on Sunday 25th June 2017. Entry is £5 per person, children free. “Passports” (passes to all gardens) available from the Multi-Use Centre, South Street, Caistor.

Thanks Sue. It was Stewart who took them. I’ve since added his byline to Jessica’s story.

Many thanks to all the residents who opened their gardens to the public over the weekend. Another magnificent effort by everybody and shows that community spirit is alive and well within this lovely town.

Also many thanks to Gill and Cliff Rust and Linda Chapman for their wonderful work in getting the “Pony Trap” ready for Open Gardens weekend to give such a wonderful display of colour in the grounds of St Peter and Paul’s church.
