Centre celebrates work of four artists

It was standing room only at the exhibition room at Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre earlier today (Saturday, May 7, 2016) when there was an opportunity to meet four local artists.

Chris Carver, Jo McCann, Ailsa Wish and Rita Dukes were all on hand to talk about their work, with examples on display.

A chance to catch up

The Meet the Artist event also gave friends a chance to catch up on their news.

Later, in the afternoon, the artists held a free watercolour workshop for eight children.

When I worked at the Ferens Art Gallery every year there was a competition for local artists. The exhibits were on show for 2 weeks and the pictures swore sometimes offered for sale something similar would be really good. Love pictures be they by amateurs or professionals
